Katie was born and raised in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas where she grew up with an appreciation for sewing as a medium of expression through her mother's needlework, and later experience in her high school theater's costume department. Since moving to New York, attending The New School, and working in the fashion industry she has become even more passionate about design and accomplishing change in the fashion world. Katie strives to join the initiative of  shaping a more sustainable industry for current and future designers.
